The Wuppertal Suspension Railway is the oldest electric elevated railway with hanging cars in the world. Its an intelligent way to connect the different parts of the city as its districts stretch along the Wupper river, so most of the railway infrastructure was built over the river to save space.


Essen is well known for its industrial history. To the left you see the headquarters of Thyssen-Krupp.
The photos below were taken at the Unesco world heritage site "Zeche Zollverein". A paradise for photography and a great area with cafes, restaurants, a museum and lots of space for sport, gettingĀ together or just hanging out.
